I’m Kaitlyn, a Metro Detroit native and current Andersonville, Chicago resident. I graduated in August 2021 from Northwestern’s Medill College of Journalism (Masters of Science in Editorial Journalism, specializing in social justice and investigative journalism). I’m the owner of Up-Late Media, LLC, and I’m an editor at MediaFeed.org.

While in Michigan, I worked at WSGW Radio Station, MLIve-Saginaw News and Route Bay City. I also served as the editor-in-chief of my alma mater’s newspaper, The Valley Vanguard. In this role, I served as HR, ad manager, business manager, editor, photographer and reporter. I worked with a diverse group of college students and helped them develop their reporting skills while navigating all the complexities of learning how to take care of themselves and be (somewhat) functioning adults.
